Farm Implement Barn

The Farm Implement Barn & Annex is filled to overflowing with antique farm implements and "work-savers" such as skidding tongs, oxen yokes, cultivators, shovel plows and grain cradles.

Originally dubbed the “Farm Machine Shed,” the structure has grown proportionally with the expansion of the collection of museum artifacts.

In 2013 a Barn Annex Pavilion was built to provide shelter for three Farmall tractors and two new enclosed exhibit areas.

A 2015 major addition and new roof project was made possible in part with a grant from the Dow Corning Foundation.

Talented SHS volunteers designed and built the 2015 addition to custom fit the existing structure and will benefit the museum and community for many years to come. Storage space is now provided for the Founders Day Flag Wagon, the 12-foot diameter Holiday Wreath, and additional display space was created for agricultural items and farm implements.
